Our mission
We act in support of our children, our families, our school, and our community.
Our purpose is to enrich the overall educational experience of students by providing extra supplies, materials and activities that are above and beyond those provided by the school district.
Who we serve
The BMDL PTSA supports the Bellevue Mandarin Dual Language program within the Bellevue School District. Because we are organized around the program rather than a single building, our membership is open to any family in it.
Most of our current programs, events, and volunteer work centers on Jing Mei Elementary, where the dual language program begins. The program itself continues into Tillicum Middle and Newport High.
Education, culture, enrichment
- Education — supporting teachers and classrooms beyond the district budget
- Culture — sustaining the language and cultural community the program is built on
- Enrichment — programs and events that extend learning outside the school day
How we are organized
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 46-3151727), governed by an elected board of parent and staff volunteers. We are affiliated with the Washington State PTA and the Bellevue PTSA Council.
Our work is funded by membership dues, donations, grants, and fundraising.
